Forty years is a long time to keep a good thing going, and the Wine Country Circuit has done exactly that. This September the shows return to Romulus, New York, right in the heart of the Finger Lakes, and the Newfoundland Club of New England will be there Friday for our Regional Specialty with Sweepstakes.

The circuit runs Thursday, Sept. 24, through Sunday, Sept. 27, 2026, and brings together Northland, New England and Genesee Newfoundland clubs for four straight days of Supported Entry and Back to Back Specialty Shows. Jim Rau Dog Shows, Ltd., is superintending.

Here is how the weekend lays out.

Thursday, Sept. 24, opens with the Northland Newfoundland Club Supported Entry, held with the Finger Lakes Kennel Club. Mrs. Donnelle Richards takes the breed ring.

Friday, Sept. 25, is our day. The Newfoundland Club of New England hosts its Regional Specialty with Sweepstakes alongside Kanadasaga Kennel Club, Inc. Kikuko Chang judges Sweepstakes and Terry Berrios judges breed. If you are only coming for one day, make it this one.

Saturday, Sept. 26, the Genesee Region Newfoundland Club takes its turn with a Regional Specialty with Sweepstakes, also with Kanadasaga Kennel Club, Inc. Sheila Mallinson judges Sweepstakes and Mr. Jeffrey M. Bazell judges breed.

Sunday, Sept. 27, closes things out with the Elmira Kennel Club, Inc., and breed judge Ms. Angela J. Porpora.

Come celebrate 40 years of Newfs in wine country. Whether you are showing, cheering or just there for the drool, we would love to see you in Romulus.
